Product NameVoice Message System
ModelKNVMS-V1
OverviewKNTECH Message Center is a pure software voice-messaging solution that enables network-wide advanced voice mail services across any voice network infrastructure, providing messaging access from internal or external telephone devices. The KNTECH IP Touch phone GUI are designed to be easy to use so end users need virtually no training to use their voice mail. Includes Automatic Gain Control (AGC) to dynamically regulate volume for both recording and playback.
Behavior and Messaging FeaturesA staff extension can be designated to provide personalized call answering support. When a mailbox owner (boss) is unavailable to answer an incoming call, the Voice Mail System (VMS) will automatically route the call to their designated staff. Callers may leave a message in the boss's mailbox or dial another extension. The VMS can automatically disable the boss forwarding function outside office hours or when instructed by designated staff. If forwarded staff cannot take the call and the caller leaves a message, the message will be stored in the boss's mailbox.
Key features and technology- The system supports local direct connection and remote connection via Internet; a dial-up modem interface is provided for remote administration via PSTN dial-up if required.
- The CVMS is hard-disk based and configured with RAID 1 data redundancy (mirroring) to ensure data reliability.
- The Management Workstation supports connection to a black and white A4 laser printer (USB/Network type) for printing system logs and records.
- The system includes an automatic deletion function for expired messages. Administrators can define maximum retention periods for un-played and saved voice messages and set programmable limits per mailbox (maximum message length and maximum number of messages).
- Constant background self-diagnostic tests monitor disk drives, interface cards, and critical components, logging deviations or alarms.
- On-site Control Terminal software can output system reports and statistics in both PDF and Microsoft Excel formats.
- Ringing duration before an unanswered call is routed to the CVMS is configurable at individual user and user class levels.
- The Message Waiting Lamp (MWL) remains on or blinking until all new voice mail messages in the mailbox are acknowledged/retrieved.
- Experienced users can bypass voice prompts by entering a sequence of commands to execute without playing full prompts.
